i told my husband the other day that we had some of the very few horses that would come from the bottom of the paddock when whistled for! (unless the spring grass just came in....)

Yes that spring grass, actually any grass, is very important to our Iceys. The first "riding" lesson I give to somebody being introduced to a horse for the first time is how to lead an Icelandic over grass--much harder than you would think.
