Blessi got to read his article "Sitting Pretty" in the September Equus magazine.
It was hard to get a good picture because Blessi assumed there was a
way to earn a peanut by interacting with the magazine. He sniffed it,
flipped pages, slimed it, and even grabbed it out of my hand at one
point and shook it. I think he liked it. The opinion of Mittens the
cat is unknown.
If you are interested in more of my humorous stories about Blessi, here is a link to my other blog that lists my published stories.

And here's a link to my essay on how to start writing. Enjoy!

As a little girl, I always wanted a pony for Christmas. Santa never brought me a pony. So in my late 40s, I started taking horseback riding lessons. When I turned 50, I got my first horse, an Icelandic named Blessi (Veigar frá Búðardal). Little did I know how much fun life with an Icelandic was going to be. Blessi has a unique perspective on life. I hope you enjoy reading about it as much as I enjoy Blessi. And you will probably read about my cats from time to time.
